HDPE Plastic Flat Mesh (Geonet)

SIGMA HDPE plastic flat mesh is an extruded high-density polyethylene net (also sold as geonet plastic mesh, plastic flat netting or HDPE reinforcement mesh) produced in seven models from CE121 to HF10 with unit weights of 550 to 1240 g/m². The flexible, aging- and erosion-resistant plastic mesh improves load-bearing capacity and stability, protects slopes, conserves soil and water and prevents landslides, and is widely used for road and embankment slopes, gardens and landscaping, fencing and aquaculture. Standard rolls are 2 or 2.5 m wide and 40 or 50 m long, in black, green, orange, red or customized colors.

What HDPE plastic flat mesh is

SIGMA plastic flat mesh is a net extruded in one pass from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin, so the strands fuse where they cross into a strong, flexible open mesh. Also known as geonet plastic mesh, HDPE plastic netting or reinforcement mesh, it is made in seven models from CE121 to HF10 that differ mainly in mesh opening and unit weight. The polyethylene base makes the mesh corrosion-resistant, aging-resistant and erosion-resistant, so it holds up to long outdoor exposure on slopes, in gardens and around enclosures.

Models, mesh sizes and weights

The seven models cover a wide range of openings and weights: tight meshes such as CE121 ((8±1)×(6±1) mm, 730±35 g/m²) suit fine reinforcement and fencing, while open meshes such as CE191 ((105±10)×(105±10) mm) suit ground stabilization and planting. Unit weights run from 550 g/m² (CE151) up to 1240 g/m² (HF10) for the heaviest-duty work, with tensile strength from about 5 to 18 kN/m by model. The full per-model specification table is below — tell us the application and we will match a model.

Where plastic flat mesh is used

The mesh improves load-bearing capacity and stability, so it is laid on road and embankment slopes for slope protection, soil and water conservation and landslide prevention. In gardens and landscaping it works as lawn-protection and planting mesh; it is also used for fencing, safety netting and guardrails, and for poultry, livestock and aquaculture enclosures. For engineered drainage and ground reinforcement, see our nonwoven geotextile and gravel grid products.

How it is made and supplied

The mesh is continuously extruded from HDPE compounded for UV and weather resistance, then wound into rolls. Standard rolls are 2 or 2.5 m wide and 40 or 50 m long, supplied in black, green, orange, red or customized colors. Because it is light and flexible, the plastic mesh ships efficiently, rolls out fast and is easy to cut to length and fix in place with stakes or ties — no heavy equipment needed.

Specification and ordering

When you order, tell us the model (or the mesh opening, unit weight and color you need), the roll width (2 or 2.5 m) and total area. The minimum order quantity is 1000 m², and special specifications or sizes can be manufactured to the demands of the contract or agreement. We confirm model, color, roll dimensions and lead time against production before shipping.

Frequently asked questions

What is HDPE plastic flat mesh used for?

It is used for slope protection on roads and embankments, soil and water conservation and landslide prevention, ground reinforcement to improve load capacity and stability, garden and lawn protection, fencing and safety netting, and poultry, livestock and aquaculture enclosures. The model is chosen by mesh opening, unit weight and color.

What are the differences between the CE121 to HF10 models?

The seven models differ mainly in mesh opening, unit weight and tensile strength. CE121 has a tight (8×6 mm) mesh at 730 g/m²; CE151 is the lightest at 550 g/m²; CE191 has the largest (105×105 mm) opening; and HF10 is the heaviest at 1240 g/m² with about 18 kN/m tensile strength. See the specification table above and tell us the application so we can match a model.

What roll sizes and colors are available?

Standard rolls are 2 or 2.5 m wide and 40 or 50 m long. Colors are black, green, orange, red or customized to your requirement. Special specifications or sizes can be manufactured to the demands of the contract or agreement.

What material is the mesh made of?

It is extruded from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which gives the mesh good flexibility together with aging, corrosion and erosion resistance for long outdoor service — backed by a service warranty of more than five years.

What is the minimum order quantity and lead time?

The minimum order quantity is 1000 m². Production lead time depends on the model, color and total area; send us the model (or mesh size and weight), roll width and quantity and we will confirm the lead time and roll dimensions for your order.

Can the plastic flat mesh be shipped overseas?

Yes. The mesh is light and rolls stack efficiently, so it ships economically by sea container. We confirm roll width, length, color and packing so you can plan container loading and on-site handling.
