Geotextile for an irrigation pond

We exported about 20,000 square metres of polypropylene geotextile to a customer in Cambodia. The buyer grows organic pepper in Cambodia and dug a large pond for irrigation, using the geotextile in the pond build.

Specification supplied

The material was a 220 gsm white polypropylene geotextile made from virgin PP, with double-sided high-temperature and anti-UV / anti-ageing treatment. Rolls were produced at 5.8 m width and 100 m length.

Why this material suits the job

A virgin-PP nonwoven with anti-UV treatment holds up well in open-air agricultural water works, providing separation and protection while resisting weathering. The white surface and high-temperature finishing give a clean, stable fabric for pond construction.

Supply and documentation

We supply geotextile at the volumes irrigation and pond projects need, with datasheets available on request. For lined ponds we can also advise on a suitable pond liner beneath the geotextile.
