Pond liner for a salt pond in Ghana

We exported pond liner to a customer in eastern Ghana for use in a salt pond. Salt ponds place particular demands on a liner, so the material was selected specifically for that application.

A reinforced, non-smooth construction

This pond liner is not a plain smooth geomembrane. Our engineers developed a construction that places a high-tensile-strength fabric between two liner layers, giving the sheet added dimensional stability and resistance to tearing during installation and service.

Why reinforcement helps

Embedding a woven reinforcement scrim inside the liner improves puncture and tear resistance and helps the sheet hold its shape over uneven subgrades — useful where panels are large and handling on site is unavoidable.

Production and shipment pictures were provided to the customer. For projects with similar requirements we can advise on the right reinforced or smooth geomembrane specification and supply it at container scale.
