Geomembrane for shrimp farming

We exported HDPE geomembrane to a customer in Malaysia who raises vannamei shrimp. The farm spans several hatching and breeding ponds, and black geomembrane was chosen to line them.

Specification supplied

The supplied liner was a 0.5 mm HDPE geomembrane made from new anti-ultraviolet HDPE resin, produced at 5.8 m width and 150 m length. It was used mainly for the construction of the hatching ponds in this delivery.

One-stop supply

Alongside the geomembrane rolls we also helped the customer source aerators and other equipment for shrimp farming, with the aerators provided for oxygen exchange in the ponds. Everything was delivered together in a single 20 ft container.

Why anti-UV HDPE

Aquaculture liners sit in standing water under strong sun, so a UV-resistant virgin HDPE membrane is well suited to ponds that must hold water cleanly for years. For larger or reinforced needs we can also supply a pond liner or composite option.
